Green Smoothie (for Everyone)

Sometimes you need a smoothie that tastes green and fresh and gives you the superpower to not eat a whole block of cheese. Sometimes your kids need the same thing. This is the green smoothie that my kids ask for as a "grandma smoothie" because grandma is the one who trusted my children's palettes enough to give them fresh ginger. She was right, and I will be forever grateful.

Green Smoothie
Prep time 5 minutes. Makes enough for two 16oz smoothies
Ingredients
1.5 medium or 2 small frozen bananas cut into 3 inch pieces
2 medium stalks of celery trimmed and cut into 3 inch pieces
2oz or 2 large handfuls of baby spinach
2 small ripe Anjou or Bartlett pears cored and cut into quarters
1 cup coconut water
1/2 cup plain yogurt (any fat content or style is fine)
1 pinky-joint sized piece of fresh ginger
1/2 cup of ice
water to adjust consistency
STEP ONE
Add all the ingredients to a high power blender. Puree until desired consistency is reached. ENJOY!
